The meeting will take place in Montreal at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University (street address: 1450 Guy Street, Montreal, Quebec, H3H 0A1) from October 7-9th with the following tentative capsule agenda. I will finalise the agenda together in early September with the Subtask Leaders, but the dates are seta and you can book your flights.
There may be a registration fee to cover the costs of the meeting (room rental, coffee breaks and lunches.) We are looking into finding sponsors to defray these costs. But, should there be a fee, it will not exceed $100 CAD and must be paid in cash at the start of the meeting. We will inform you in due time.
An informal dinner of the members will be held in the evening of Tuesday October 8th, at a selected restaurant in the heart of Old Montréal. At this time, it is expected that the cost of the dinner will be sponsored. In the event that it is not sponsored, then the cost will be borne by you separate from the registration fee (major credit cards are accepted at restaurants).
There are no designated hotels for this meeting. We are asking you to make you own arrangements AS SOON AS POSSIBLE using online services (such as Booking.com) because these services provide many more choices of hotels at much lower rates than what we would have been able to negotiate a group rate separately with them. The meeting venue is easily accessible by subway (station Guy-Concordia) and there are many hotels within walking distance of the meeting location.
For your information, the International Conference for Enhanced Building Operations (ICEBO) 2013, will also be held in Montreal from October 9 -11, hosted by NRCan and several of you may wish to attend it as well. For more information: http://icebo.tamu.edu/home.
